Our Burrata is made using the traditional method, with natural cultures. The inside of the Burrata consists of strachiatella (striated string cheese) which will slowly digest the cream inside, so if it's eaten more than 24 hours after making, it'll slowly develop umami flavor.

This Gula Malacca Burrata ( a dessert cheese) is infused with authentic Gula Malacca ( palm sugar) in the fresh cream, inspired by our girl, Devrie that requested a sweet burrata from Natalie. 100% Pure gula melaka has a smoky flavour and smell, which is significantly different from regular sugar. Gula Melaka smells very fragrant unlike regular sugar which is without scent.

Heavenly, creamy, delicate is the soft fresh Italian cheese that dreams are made of, and once tried, it will leave you with little doubt as to why it is crowned the queen of Italian cheeses. Best pairing with guava, pingpong crackers (as authentic as it can be)

What is Gula Malacca?
Palm sugar is made from the sap of palm trees trunks. In Malaysia, it is probably made from sugar palm (arenga pinnata). The sucrose-rich sap is boiled down to produce a thick brown syrup, poured into a bamboo mould and then hardened into round cylinder blocks. That explains why gula melaka comes in blocks.
